People suffer when they pursue a life or chase a dream that doesn’t belong to them. Everybody has a lane. There IS a place for you. ~ Caroline Myss

The Heart Chakra Influence

MIND POWER IS REPLACED BY HEART POWER.

When we start to live life from the heart, our entire life begins to change. The life we thought we should live starts to be replaced with the life we are meant to live. The ways we navigated the world before, now slowly begin to change. This is especially true if we have relied solely on mind power without the compassionate, intuitive input from the heart. This change, although magnificent, can be very uncomfortable for the mind and ego because we have gotten used to being concerned for our own survival, being recognized for our achievements and seeking appreciation from others.

As mind power is replaced by heart power, the gentler more compassionate energies of the heart come forward and become our driving force. We are able to give to ourselves what we need instead of seeking it from others. We are then able to give back to the world because we are fulfilled from within. Competition melts away and instead we have a strong desire to see others happy, successful and abundant. We also feel called to step into a greater role of being of service to assist those who are unable to help themselves. We are able to give more freely because our hearts are open and filled from the act of giving. This shift, from striving to be bigger and better, to that of cheering others on is very fulfilling. This fulfillment calms the emotions, balances the chakras and opens the heart.

Daily Practice

Bringing your dreams to life.

It’s time to start getting clear about your dreams.  To start, you are going to create a mind map for your dream life.  Mind mapping is a graphical and creative way to outline your ideas, desires, and biggest dreams in all areas of your life.

Different to a traditional outline or note taking, a mind map is structured in a way that engages your conscious and subconscious mind, accesses your creative brain and can be a lot of fun!

To get started, get out a blank sheet of paper and some markers.  For reference, pull out your life and/or business review from the introductory module (link to the module here).  There is no right or wrong to a mind map, just let the creativity flow.  Start by putting the words “DREAM LIFE” in the center of your paper.  From there, branch out to the different areas of your life that are included in your dream life.  (If it helps, you can use the main points from the life/business review worksheets as a guideline).  Use color, symbols, lines, different size text, whatever feels good to you.

When complete, take some time to sit with your mind map.  When you look at it, how do you feel?  Excited, inspired, joyful?  Do you want to add anything to it? Is there anything that doesn’t excite you on your map?  Do you feel it is complete?

This is just the beginning of the creative process in clarifying your dreams.  In this and future modules we will dive deeper but this process will get you into a higher vibration which allows you to manifest your dream life much more quickly.

Heart Power Process

Choose one of the affirmations that you feel called to today, and listen to this recording while repeating the affirmation to yourself.

Enlightened Entrepreneur Affirmation:

I follow the guidance of my heart in life and business.

Yoga Postures to open the Heart Chakra

We invite you to repeat your favourite heart chakra affirmation while holding the following yoga poses. Doing so will create a strong connection between your body and mind. Repeat the affirmations out loud or quietly to yourself while holding the postures.

Child’s Pose: Kneel on the floor with your toes together and your knees hip-width apart. Rest your palms on top of your thighs.

On an exhale, lower your torso between your knees. Extend your arms alongside your torso with your palms facing down. Relax your shoulders toward the ground. Rest in the pose for as long as needed.

Half Moon Pose: Step your legs wide apart, and extend your arms to a T position.

Turn your right foot slightly inward and your left foot and leg outward.

Exhale, and bend your torso to the side, bringing your left hand to your shin and your right hand to your hip.

Begin to bend your left knee and shift your left hand forward, placing it a little to the outside of your bottom foot.

Bend the front leg a little deeper and let your right foot glide along the floor behind you. Continue to move forward until your armpit and shoulder are directly over your wrist. Keep the left hand cupped and the elbow fully extended to strengthen the fingers, wrists, and arms. Keep your left leg bent and your kneecap pointed toward the toes, with your right foot just barely touching the floor.

To establish steadiness, press down through the left foot and fingertips. Maintain a strong base and turn the chest upward until the right shoulder is directly over the left one. Explore this turning motion without letting the standing leg or arm waver from the grounding action.

After you have completed the poses, practice being still by going into quiet mind. This is a time to let your mind be open to transformation. Any time your mind starts to wander, just simply bring it back by saying one of the affirmations above again, then return your awareness to quiet mind. After a few minutes of quiet mind, you may slowly bring your attention back to your surroundings and prepare to move on to the next chapter.
